Robin Armstrong/RASA School of Astrology – Robin Armstrong founded and runs RASA School of Astrology, and he offers tremendous in-depth astrological education. Centre for Psychological Astrology – The world-renowned Centre for Psychological Astrology was founded by Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas in 1983 and offers wonderful education in psychological astrology, with world-renowned astrologers, psychologists and tutors such as Juliet Sharman-Burke, Lynn Bell, Darby Costello, Karen Hamaker-Zondag, Alexander von Schlieffen and John Green.
Mercury Internet School of Psychological Astrology (MISPA) – director John Green. John, a tutor for the Centre for Psychological Astrology (CPA), set up MISPA to fulfil the demand for a qualification in psychological astrology following on from the work of Liz Greene, Howard Sasportas and many others who have been explorers in this fascinating world. MISPA offers incredible education, and a wealth of information is available through regular webinars.
Astrodienst – the world’s leading astrology website Astrodienst offers incredible resources to astrologers, students and seekers the world over. Founded by Alois Trendl and Liz Greene in 1983, Astrodienst AG is located in Zollikon near Zürich in a romantic Villa close to the lake of Zürich. A team of currently eight hard working people manages the daily service and the development of new projects, together with some external partners. For more than three decades, the small Swiss company Astrodienst has been developing and selling horoscopes. Astrodienst is German, meaning “Astro Service”, and this is exactly what the people in this enterprise consider to be their most important task.
American Federation of Astrologers – one of the oldest astrology associations in the world, offers in-depth and highly valuable astrological education, as well as exams leading to certification on three levels: student, professional and teacher.
Steven Forrest, Astrologer – For evolutionary astrology, Steven Forrest is an icon. His work has impacted just about all modern astrologers practicing today.
Jeffrey Wolf Green, and the School of Evolutionary Astrology – ground-breaking in widening the field of astrology to encompass consciousness-expansion, and metaphysics which work with the state of our souls. Jeffrey Wolf Green’s daughter, Deva Green carries on her father’s work, and EA continues to enlighten many the world over.
Martha Lang Wescott – For mind-blowing astrology that takes chart interpretation to a whole new level see Martha Lang Wescott. She is a genius who revolutionized astrology with her work on asteroids, and she created a professional research database of astrological information that will surely enrich any experience of chart mechanics.
Sabian Symbols – Linda Hill took Dr. Marc Edmund Jones Sabian Symbols system and reworked it for the modern age. She is a genius, and offers exceptional, thought provoking resources and work to the world of astrology
Hellenistic Astrology – Drawing on teachings that pre-date the foundations of what we consider seminal works of modern astrology, Hellenistic Astrology approaches the art with very particular parameters and intentions. For the best of this art, see Demetra George, and Chris Brennan. Chris Brennan is also the creator and host of The Astrology Podcast – a treat for astrologers everywhere.
Sivananda Yoga International – Sivananda Yoga offers a whole-body and mind approach to the art and study of yoga. Swami Sivananda established his first ashram in Rishikesh, India in 1932 and The Divine Life Society in 1936. His teachings have inspired a host of seekers throughout the years, and his many books offer a wealth of knowledge and wisdom.
Namarupa – Namarupa is a joint effort of Robert Moses and Eddie Stern, with contribution from Robert Svoboda, which offers excellent education via classes and printed material dedicated to the knowledge of India, particularly Yoga, Pranayama, Vedanta, and Ayurveda. Amazing, inspiring and thoughtful.
J. Krishnamurti Online – J. Krishnamurti Online is a unique initiative of the four Krishnamurti Foundations to make the teachings of J. Krishnamurti freely available, downloadable, and to guarantee authenticity. A fantastic resource dedicated to keeping the teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti alive, allowing people to find peace and understanding through his insights and discoveries.
The Theosophical Society – The creation of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and Colonel Henry Olcott in 1875, the Theosophical Society strives to find a common thread of knowledge in uniting teachings of Vedanta, Buddhism, Sufism, Kabbalah and other occult philosophies, and has inspired seekers of truth for well over a century. I had the privilege of spending time at the Theosophical Society headquarters, Adyar, in Chennai, India in 1998 and it left a lasting impression on my life and studies.
3HO Foundation – Healthy, Happy, Holy Organization was founded in 1969, and since then, 3HO has become a vibrant, dynamic community of leaders, teachers, students, and seekers of various faiths, persuasions, and cultures practicing the time-proven technology of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, grounded and centered in a philosophy of compassion and kindness. 3HO International’s mission is to inspire everyone everywhere to realize their full potential through the uplifting experience of Kundalini Yoga.
C G Jung Foundation of Ontario – The C.G. Jung Foundation of Ontario was established in 1970 by local people interested in the work of C.G. Jung. The first name for their organization was the Analytical Psychology Society of Ontario (APSO). Today it is a vibrant community — one of the largest such groups in North America. And from a single Jungian analyst practicing in Canada, from 1977, the number of professional members of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP) has grown today to over sixty-five.
Speaking of Jung – Speaking of Jung was created in 2015 by Laura London in Chicago. This unique resource explores the life and work of C.G. Jung through in-depth discussions with certified Jungian analysts shared in podcast form. An incredible resource for all things Jungian.
The Jung Society of Washington – A wonderful resource for Jungian studies, the Jung Society of Washington is dedicated to nourishing the human spirit and to serving the longing that comes to us in our dreams and in moments of hardship, imagination, struggle, and creativity. We support the exploration of our own psychic depths and the primal impulse for personality integration that Dr. Carl Gustav Jung called “individuation”. With a psychological lens, we deepen the discussion of social issues, history, and current events. We encourage the development of greater self-awareness and creative expression—individually, in relationships, and within the community.
Inner City Books – Created by Canadian Jungian analyst Darryl Sharp, Inner City Books was started in 1980 to promote the understanding and practical application of the work of C.G. Jung. It is still the only publishing house in the world devoted exclusively to books written by Jungian analysts. There are now over 140 titles by over 50 authors in the series Studies in Jungian Psychology by Jungian Analysts – authoritative works on basic Jungian principles, women’s studies, spirituality, alchemy, relationships, dream and fairy tale interpretation, masculine psychology, midlife issues and much more.
Out of My Mind’s Eye – Website of Susan Demeter, Canadian born author, scholar, artist, and witch. The themes of her writing, research and art incorporate a lifelong interest in exceptional human experiences, nature, social history, mysteries, and cosmic magic. Susan’s first solo book Cosmic Witch Magic, Witchcraft, and the Supernatural (English), The Witch – La Strega (Italian) publication date July 17th 2020 is part memoir, part history, and part call to activism in a time when Nature is in peril, and thousands of people around the world are identifying as witches and neo-pagans. Her book is available through publisher Le Due Torri, Amazon and other fine book stores.
Most Holy Death – Santa Muerte, (Saint Death and Holy Death in English) is now the focus of the fastest growing new religious movement in the West. This website provides ground-level information about Santa Muerte, her devotees, their traditions, stories and beliefs. Based on the fieldwork, research and writing of Oxford University trained anthropologist of religion Dr. Kate Kingsbury, Research Associate at University of British Columbia, and the research and writing of historian Dr. R. Andrew Chesnut, Bishop Walter Sullivan Chair in Catholic Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and author of this book on Santa Muerte, in collaboration with David Metcalfe. A multi-faceted exploration of the sanctification of death in the popular faith traditions of the Americas.
Dr. Andrew Chesnut – Global Catholic Review – The Global Catholic Review is a non-denominational, non-partisan online review providing news stories, information and commentary on topics related to the Catholic Church and Catholicism from an academic viewpoint. The review is written by Dr. Andrew Chesnut and also features guest writers such as Dr. Kate Kingsbury who write about the diversity in Catholic beliefs, practice and breaking news stories.
Chthonia – Chthonia is a site of creative works by Brigid Burke, focusing on the “dark” aspects of the Feminine and the hermeneutics of death. Current works include the Chthonia Podcast, writings both published and in progress, and healing /advisement services for those going through a death or other crisis.
